Program Overview

This is an intervention that we make in the life of a child from when it is still in the womb onwards. We are championing the Nurturing Care Framework: A framework for helping children survive, and thrive to transform health and human potential. Focusing on the components of Good health, Adequate nutrition, responsive caregiving, Security and safety and opportunities for early learning.

Key Components

Prenatal Care

Regular health check-ups, nutritional support, and monitoring for expectant mothers throughout pregnancy.

Childbirth Preparation

Education, counseling, and practical preparation for safe delivery and postnatal care.

Nutritional Support

Essential nutrition for expectant and breastfeeding mothers, plus guidance for infant nutrition.

Health Monitoring

Regular health assessments, immunization support, and growth monitoring for mother and child.

Program Duration

Minimum 4-month program starting from the 5th month of pregnancy through delivery and the first critical months of the child's life.

Detailed Program Structure

  • Month 1-2 (Preparation Phase): Initial assessment, nutritional planning, and health education
  • Month 3-4 (Active Support Phase): Regular check-ups, counseling sessions, and prenatal classes
  • Month 5 (Delivery Phase): Childbirth support and immediate postnatal care
  • Month 6-8 (Postnatal Phase): Continued support, breastfeeding guidance, and infant care education

  • Expectant mothers in their 5th month of pregnancy or earlier
  • Families facing economic challenges
  • First-time mothers or those with high-risk pregnancies
  • Commitment to regular program participation
